The best diamond art bookmarks, by the kind of reader you're making them for

Diamond painting bookmarks are a 30-minute project that ends as something you'll use every night. The style matters more than the design: corners for paperbacks, flat tassel bookmarks for hardcovers and planners.

The WIVICO 4-piece corner bookmark kit is the one most people should start with: it's Amazon's best seller in this category by a wide margin (about 3,000 bought last month) and holds 4.7 stars from more than 1,600 ratings. If you read hardcovers or want something to hang out of a planner, get a flat rectangular set with tassels like the Wivico 6-piece mandala bookmarks instead.

How we picked these bookmark kits

We searched Amazon for diamond art and diamond painting bookmarks on October 13, 2026 and sorted by "bought in past month", then by rating count. Every kit below has close to 100 ratings or more and 4.4 stars or better. Piece counts and materials come from each seller's listing, pulled the same day. Nothing on page one of Google for this search is an independent review (it's all store listings), so the comparison below is the one the listings don't make.

This is a "How we pick" guide. We didn't make these bookmarks; the picks rest on listings plus Amazon's sales and rating data. How we research.

How to make a diamond art bookmark

  1. Work on a tray or a towel; loose drills bounce off a bare table.
  2. Peel the protective film off one bookmark only. Leave the others covered so the glue stays clean.
  3. Pour one color into the tray and shake it gently so the drills land facet-side up.
  4. Press the pen into the clay or wax, pick up a drill and set it on its symbol. Do the edges first; they're the hardest part on a small piece.
  5. Press the finished bookmark flat under a book for a few minutes, then seal it (see below) before adding the tassel.

Expect 30 minutes to an hour per bookmark, the range the CharySim listing gives. If you're short a color, our missing drills guide has the fixes.

Bookmarks for kids

Corner bookmarks are the best kids' format: quick to finish and hard to lose in a book. The WIVICO set says it suits children and adults, and the Ireer crosses list kids in their age range. Two cautions. Drills are tiny, so keep kits away from children who still put things in their mouths. And pick a kit with few colors per bookmark if your child gets frustrated hunting symbols. Our best diamond art kits for kids has more options, and there are sticker sets in our stickers and keychains guide.

Seal them, or the drills won't last

A canvas hangs on a wall. A bookmark gets pushed between pages, dropped in a bag and pulled out again every night, so its drills take far more wear. One of the kits above (CharySim) says outright to seal the bookmarks once finished. Use a thin coat of a brush-on diamond painting sealer, let it cure fully before the bookmark goes in a book, and keep sealer off any tassel. Our sealer guide compares brush-on and spray options; the same advice applies to diamond painting coasters.

What to check before you buy

Count against your plans

Four is a trial. Eight to twelve is a gift stack or a group activity. Kits ship with one tray and one pen however many bookmarks are in the box.

Material

PU leather is soft and flexible; acrylic is stiff and wipes clean. Both arrive with the adhesive pre-applied under a film.

Size versus your books

Rectangular bookmarks run about 7 to 7.9 inches long. That's fine in a hardcover and long in a mass-market paperback. Corner bookmarks fit anything.

Extras

Tassels and pendants look good in photos. For an everyday bookmark that lives in a handbag, plain is more practical.

"Diamond Dotz bookmarks"

Plenty of people search for brand-name bookmarks. Diamond Art Club lists bookmarks on its own site, and Diamond Dotz sells small finished-object kits, but the bookmark kits selling in volume on Amazon are generic sets like the ones above. More on the brands in our Diamond Dotz review.

Which to buy

For yourself or a paperback reader: WIVICO corners. For a boxed gift: CharySim 8-piece. For hardcovers and planners: Wivico mandala with tassels. For a group: Bulerrylulu 12-piece. Bookmarks also make good fillers; see our diamond painting stocking stuffers.

Questions people ask

How do you make a diamond art bookmark?
Peel the protective film off the printed bookmark, pour one color of drills into the tray, load the pen with the included clay or wax, and press each drill onto its matching symbol. Most kits take 30 minutes to an hour per bookmark. Add a tassel or charm last if the kit includes one.
Do diamond painting bookmarks need to be sealed?
It's a good idea. Bookmarks slide in and out of books every day, which knocks drills loose faster than a canvas on a wall. The CharySim kit's own listing recommends a sealer once you finish. Use a thin coat of a clear diamond painting sealer and let it dry fully before using it.
Are diamond art bookmarks good for kids?
Yes, for kids who can handle small parts. Corner bookmarks are quick and forgiving, and kits like the Ireer cross set list both kids and adults. Supervise younger children, since the drills are a choking hazard.
What are diamond art bookmarks made of?
Usually PU (faux) leather or acrylic, printed with the pattern and covered in pre-applied adhesive. Corner bookmarks tend to be PU leather; long rectangular bookmarks are often acrylic or acrylic with PU.
How many bookmarks come in a kit?
Between 4 and 12 in the kits we compared. Four is enough to try the craft; 8 to 12 makes sense for gifts, a book club or a classroom.
Can I make a bookmark from leftover drills?
Yes, with a blank adhesive bookmark or a scrap of canvas cut to size. It's a good use for leftovers, though a kit gives you a printed pattern and the right colors.
