If you want a diamond painting advent calendar this year, order it by mid-November: advent calendars start on December 1, and Advent itself begins Sunday, November 29, 2026. The one most people are buying is the mycherish 24-ornament mini calendar, at about 400 bought last month. For an adult who wants a calmer, more traditional look, the CLNXMT 24-day ornament calendar has classic Christmas designs and pre-drilled hanging holes.

How we picked these calendars
We searched Amazon for "diamond painting advent calendar 2026" on October 3, 2026 and read two pages of results. Most were not diamond painting at all (building-set and puzzle calendars rank for the term), so we kept only true diamond art calendars with a "bought in past month" badge or a meaningful number of ratings. Advent calendars are a young category on Amazon. The best seller had 400 purchases last month, and few have more than 100 ratings, so the cards say how much history each one has.
What's in each box (pieces, ornament or keychain, sizes, ages) comes from the listings themselves. When a listing skips a detail, we say so.
This is a "How we pick" guide. We compared listings against sales and ratings; we didn't open every calendar. How we research.
Ornament calendars vs keychain calendars
Every calendar here gives you 24 small acrylic shapes plus the drills and a pen to fill them. The real difference is what you end up with on December 24.
| Ornament calendars | Keychain calendars | |
|---|---|---|
| You finish with | 24 tree ornaments with hanging holes or string | 24 charms on key rings, which also hang on a tree |
| Designs lean | Classic Christmas: Santa, reindeer, wreaths | Younger: gnomes, cute characters, pink themes |
| Best for | Adults, teens, a family tree | Kids 6 and up, stocking-sized gifts |
| Our picks | mycherish, CLNXMT | gnome calendar, pink calendar |
The 6 best diamond painting advent calendars for 2026
mycherish Mini Diamond Art Advent Calendar 2026
Twenty-four acrylic ornaments, each 1.57 to 1.97 inches, with one box to open per day. It led the diamond-art calendars in our search at about 400 bought last month. The seller pitches it for girls, but the designs are standard Christmas pendants, and the listing calls it friendly for kids and adults alike. QZHPTBU 24-Day Diamond Painting Advent Calendar
The best-rated calendar with real history: 4.7 stars from 92 ratings, and about 200 bought last month. Each day is a keychain charm. One caution: the listing's age field says "toddler," but loose drills are small parts. Federal rules keep small parts out of toys for children under 3 (16 CFR part 1501), so treat this as a calendar for school-age kids, with an adult helping.

Order-by dates for 2026
| Date (2026) | What happens |
|---|---|
| Mid-November | Our suggested order-by date, which leaves room for a slow shipment or a replacement if a box arrives damaged |
| Sunday, November 29 | First Sunday of Advent; some families start their countdown here |
| Tuesday, December 1 | Box 1 on every calendar on this page |
| Thursday, December 24 | Box 24 |
Delivery times vary a lot on seasonal listings, and some ship from overseas. Look at the delivery estimate on the listing when you check out instead of assuming Prime speed. If December 1 is close and nothing will arrive in time, a set of ornaments with 12 or more pieces does the same job; see our diamond painting Christmas ornaments guide and make one a day from the box.
How much time a day it takes
Very little. A two-inch shape, if it were fully covered in 2.5 mm square drills, would hold about 400 drills (20 across by 20 down), and real ornaments are smaller once you cut away the corners. At an easy 350 drills an hour that's under 15 minutes for most days, which is why these calendars work for school nights. Want to check a bigger project instead? The diamond painting calculator does the math for any canvas size.
The time adds up over the month, though: 24 short sessions is a real commitment in a busy December. If the calendar is for a child, plan for an adult to help on school nights, and keep the drills for each day in their own box so a spilled tray doesn't mix 24 days of colors. Adults who travel over the holidays can work two days at once when they're home.
Seal the ornaments once all 24 are done, rather than one a day. A thin coat of brush-on diamond painting sealer keeps drills on through years of packing away. Our sealer guide compares the options.
2027 diamond art calendars
A different product shares the name: wall and desk calendars for next year with a diamond art picture for each month. Amazon has many listings, but almost all launched this fall with a handful of ratings, and the best seller showed about 100 purchases last month. Two options we'd consider:
Trandraft 13-Piece Monthly Holiday Diamond Art Kits
Twelve small seasonal kits and one frame you swap them into each month, from Valentine's Day through Christmas. It isn't a dated calendar, but with 354 ratings at 4.7 stars it's far better proven than any 2027 calendar we found, and it won't go out of date in January 2028.
- Pieces12 small kits plus 1 wooden frame
- Kit size5.91 x 5.91 in (15 x 15 cm)
- Frame7.09 x 7.09 in (18 x 18 cm)
- Themesholidays from Valentine's Day to Christmas
- Tools12 sets
Why it stands out
- 354 ratings at 4.7 stars
- One frame, swapped monthly
- Never expires
Think twice if
- No dates, so it doesn't work as a planner
ARTopet 2027 Diamond Art Wall Calendar
A real 2027 wall calendar with a date grid, a notes section and a diamond art picture for each month. The bullets describe it as a DIY project but don't list the drills or tools in the box, so read the listing's photos before you order. It has 12 ratings (4.0 stars), so it's an early bet.
- Size9.9 x 6.7 in
- Months12 holiday themes
- Bindingspiral with hanging hole
- Paperthick, bleed-resistant

Why it stands out
- Works as an actual planner

Complete your kit
Calendars include a basic pen and wax. These help with 24 days of small pieces:
- Interlocking drill trays, so each day's colors are open at once.
- A refillable wax pen that's easier to hold than the stick pens in the boxes.
- Diamond painting sealer for the finished set.
- A 60-slot storage case for leftover drills, which every calendar seems to produce.
Which calendar to order
For an adult or a family tree: the CLNXMT ornament calendar, or the mycherish calendar if you'd rather go with the crowd. For a child of 6 or older: the QZHPTBU keychain calendar, which has the most good reviews. And if the calendar is a gift, our gifts for diamond painters guide has the tools to tuck in beside it, while the Christmas kits guide covers bigger holiday projects.
